From Anne Hardy's Where to Eat in Canada: "Julien's started out as a bake shop, serving bread (and cheese), as well as muffins, cookies, brownies, tarts and cakes. Then they added soups (a squash soup, perhaps) and a hot special like shepherd's piethe specials available only at noon. There are always first-class sandwiches made with lovely homemade breadwe particularly like the light seven-grain loaf. The lobster sandwich is so good it's usually sold out. They also have a useful deli counter where you can buy imported cheeses of all sorts. The expresso, capuccino and filter coffee are very cheap and they're as good as you can buy at any price. They have a license for beer and wine, but why bother with wine when the coffee is this good and this cheap?"
